Catie Young is a native of Bakersfield, California, but she eventually left the Bakersfield area to attend the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.
Catie moved to San Diego where she went on to earn her law degree from Thomas Jefferson Law School. As a law school intern, She began work as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in Juvenile Dependency Court within the community of San Diego. It was during that period that she learned to navigate the trial experience and honed her experience as a trial lawyer. She also became known as a driven attorney who strives to be the best at all she does.
In December 2011, Catie became one of three partners at Griffith, Young & Lass, where she brought her zeal and compassion to represent clients in all aspects of family law, including child custody and domestic violence.
As an experienced family lawyer, Catie has extensive litigation experience working in civil and business litigation, juvenile dependency, white-collar criminal defense, and national security law.
Catie excels in child custody cases and move away trials and brings that same level of success to all her mediation services clients.
